Juliet is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. Certifed by the Council for Certified Pet Dog Trainers. 300 hours of hands on training are required, along with several references including a Veterinarian and last but not least, a big 250 question test.
Juliet has attended the Annual Conference of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. This is an intense 5 day Conference with Seminars from the best dog trainers and hottest PhD's in the world. It's is the best learning a trainer can get.
Juliet has a strong commitment to learning and studying Dog Behavior. She attends at least one Telecourse or Webinar each month. The learning is endless and because we are dealing with living, intelligent beings, there is no one way to handle each situation. Also because we are deailng with Dogs, another species, the scientists and the dog trainers are always discovering new things in dog communication.
Juliet also has had 4-7 dogs boarding (some for the day, others board overnight) in her house every day for 5 years. She hikes with a pack of dogs (always a different group) every day and the dynamic are changing constantly in the house. It's a "dog behavior heaven"! She has had over 300 dogs stay in her house. "Observing dog interacting with each other and with other people other than their owners let's me put knowledge from books and school into the real world learning" It's a lot of fun!
